The Bala Shark (Balantiocheilos melanopterus) is a species of shark found in the Malayan Peninsula, Borneo, and Sumatra. This fish has no external differences that are clear enough to distinguish between females and males. During the spawning season, females will develop a rounder underbelly than males.
